Hello there. I’m hoping for some advice and direction. This picture in its frame is older than me (and I’m 36 lol). It hung on my parents’ wall until they passed and I inherited it. I wanted to ask if anybody knew of a way to have it authenticated or valued? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
I’m sure these posters were sold everywhere but I know in the U.K. for instance it was widely distributed through a shop called Athena. You could try to carefully remove it from the frame to see a mark on either the back or along the front sides?

If I remember correctly the original of this illustration was sold at Sotheby's in 2007 for $25K+...
And as mentioned elsewhere - this illustration was mass-produced throughout the 80s and 90s at minimum. Even I had that in my childhood room so this should not be anything special in terms of it being a collectible.
Thanks for bringing up this important piece of my childhood - I have just been given permission by Jimmy Cauty to share this amazing art in the next Roving Ranger newsletter and that's thanks to you!
Thank you. I was just curious as I can find information about posters but not small prints ?
Shurlee, I was wondering what size is this image? Seen several versions of this poster. From large posters to smaller posters, a jigsaw puzzle to the covers of a book box. I also have two chess sets where the queen was partly based on the Queen’s image in the poster. Thanks, Bruce
