Not so much an interesting listing as a heroically lucky find. A guy('s wife) in Christchurch found this in a shop for 4 NZD. That must be up with the best finds ever. Two quid for a jacketed '46.

As we know, there was only one printing of this book.
Now here’s an interesting thing. I just happened to notice the the price printed on this eBay listed book as £4.50, but my copy clearly says £3.95. Also the colour of my dust wrapper is darker than the listed one, but it’s the same as the copy that’s always shown on the Tolkienbooks .net site.
This could be just light and the way the pictures were taken by either of us. But obviously, the colour difference made me look. However, the price change is an odd one, don’t you think?

Yes, I thought that interesting as well. Hence the reason for me posting it. Not sure I have seen this either. If I have I don't remember it. My copy is also 3.95 GBP as well.

The fact that there is only printing indicates that these took a long line to sell, long enough it looks like for new jackets to be printed with a higher price.

I did wonder if that may be the case with taking a while to sell, hence the new price. I’ve never seen one shown with a different price, which then makes it worth collecting for that difference I guess. Wallets at the ready chaps…
