Never seen this version of The Hobbit before, anyone know anything about it? According to the listing it was published in 1990 by Eclipse Books.

It's the limited edition of The Hobbit graphic novel illustrated by David Wenzel and signed by him and published in a clamshell by Eclipse Books in 1990 in a run of 600 copies. The clamshell is quite beautiful.

Asking price is far too high IMO
I assume the gilt motif on this first edition TT was a later addition (as a sort of ex-libris)?
