Hi everyone,
For the last couple of weeks I've noticed that the ebay page for active listings is behaving inconsistently or strangely. Many times I see it listing "sold" items in the active section, or some of the "active" items when clicked on are in fact sold on ebay, or sometimes the page displays nothing at all. Not sure why. Seems to be the case across multiple browsers as well.

I have also seen "Ended" items on the page as actually still live and available...

Yeah, seeing similar things. Also often impossible to see the actual original listing for a sold item when sold by a business, depending on - I think - how it was originally listed in terms of category, ISBN, etc. It is pretty screwed up.

The API and eBay site behavior has been changing. I’ll take a look tomorrow and see what I can improve. Thanks for catching the problems and letting me know.

I should say, my comment was related to weird issues in eBay itself, not TCG. Been seeing odd internal inconsistencies for a while around completed listings.

To lift the curtain a tiny bit...We have been dealing with this issue for several months now with eBay listings as the API has changed what seems like several times.
The moderators can go in and force refresh a posted listing to more accurately reflect whether or not an item sold and for how much. The site (TGC bot) used to do this on it's own, some time after a listing ended, however that hasn't been working as well. I will try and do a better job of this until
Urulókë can find a fix.

Hi all,
I've made a few code tweaks, and it looks like the background bot is happier again. eBay is still doing things on their ended listings pages (as
The late Stu mentions) - some item numbers are not visible after ending, some show a different landing page but you can get to the original listing through a small link, and none will show actual ending prices for best offers (that's been gone for a while...)
Whenever this site shows a successful ended listing, be aware that the price shown is my best guess from the data that eBay provides. It may not fully reflect what the buyer paid.
