Many thanks for the photo. Very much appreciated.
Guess I have to accept that it really does exist!
As deagol suggested, maybe there was a problem with the first print run and not all the 20,000 supposed print run made it to market.

Edit: Trotter inserted picture directly into post, and if you look at the picture you can see two signatures through the page
Tolkien, and who is the other one, if I may ask?

The Facsimile signature that is in every copy is on top and Tolkien signed it by hand below.
Mr. Underhill, ah, I see, thanks!
Still surprising how few of these have turned up over the years. Can't be more than a dozen. Very odd.
I'm trying to keep track of known copies. Here are the ones I have noted:
-Wayne/Cristina
-Alan Reynolds
-Stu
-Emilien
-Remy
-Devon
-Danny Lee
-Mr.Underhill
-Edmond Kleintjens
-Myself
I take it Neil Holford has a copy. So 10-11?

Any idea what a copy would go for? Assuming the seller knew what they had
I think with such a small number of books apparently extant, it isn't really possible to say.
