Ran into a review copy of the Bovadium Fragments
Oooh very nice
The copy I ordered will not arrive for a week or more but I also have a review copy.

Complete luck, as far as I'm concerned ('used' listing on Abe).
Or you should work in the press or review books I guess
And congrats onthetrail

That is great luck. Congrats! And thank you.

1) write and publish reviews, until publishers recognize you as a book reviewer and send you review copies of forthcoming books
2) buy them from reviewers

Ran into a real treasure trove recently!
A bunch of posters for a ridiculous price, among them the Map of Middle earth and Wilderland by Pauline Baynes (later state of the first US printing for the first one, first UK printing for the second); a first state of Barbara Remington's Map of Middle earth (1965, $1.49), 3 69-70# posters (these ones seem pretty hard to find) ; and a promotional poster for the 2nd Swedish edition of the Lord of the Rings with the wonderful art by
Inger Edelfeldt (this one already found and shared by northman)
