I think these are beautiful... not quite what I would go for in terms of the pictures on the covers, but beautiful all the same.
At some point I am intending to get my original set (2/1, 2/4, 2/4) rebound. Are the prices quoted on Brockman Bookbinders typical?

The quality is evident, but two things stand out to me - first, the images are heavily influenced by the movies (which I do not like).
But secondly, and mainly - there’s no mention of Tolkien’s name. I know it’s not meant to be a secret or anything, but what could justify leaving an author’s name off a rebinding of their works?

Completely agree. I always put Tolkiens name (and/or monogram) on all of my rebindings
