Looks like a group of four bidding it up (with two jumping in towards the end) never seen one go for nearly this much…quite odd. These are not scarce enough to pay that much IMO.

I sold all my duplicates years ago, wish I would’ve held on to them with prices like these

I bought a copy on Ebay about a year and a half ago for £285, and even then I thought I was over paying. US$1825 is just...wow!

Yes, me neither, the hammer price is so out of left field...it's enough to make one suspicious.

This is only just starting for the overall market my friend imho.

I was curious how much I paid for my two copies--one first printing and the other a later printing--so I looked them up.

2004: $26.60 on Amazon

2007: $50.00 on Amazon (first printing)

And then I sold my 2004 copy on eBay in 2015 for $55. Sure wish I still had that copy with prices like this.

Even in today's market, anything over $500 feels overpriced to me. $1,825 seems outrageous! Great book, of course, but not at this price.
