Here is a signed copy from our favorite seller. When will the madness end...

Just found this in my loft (I think it was a present for a Doctor Higgins), and I offer the same guarantees as the eBay seller.

The second letter (moon-lather) is the first of these fake letters that we saw referenced here (from 2 years ago)

"This and one other signed letter are the last of a collection of Tolien(sic) items fakes."

Looks like he has managed to sell all the fakes thanks to eBay.

A great post from Beren on his website

I think that there is only one copy of the third letter down it has just been sold on eBay multiple times, it is the same letter that Bloomsbury Auctions were going to auction in 2008.

At least this one isn't from our usual friend. I don't think I've ever run across a cd or a bar coded copy of a book or whatever double signed.....can't imagine why

The thing that gave it away for me was that Tolkien had not signed the map and the postcards as well, schoolboy error.

I know that Tolkien owned a Morris car in his early life, but we have conclusive proof that he also owned one of these (to get to the year 2000 for book signings).
