Yes, the new format is really good. Its quite nice to have all of those recordings and videos cobbled together in one location.

The new material is mainly pictures unseen before. I just found a photo of Tolkien at his CBE with John and Priscilla that seems new.

They are definitely taking a stronger stance about a lot of copyrighted materials in the new FAQ. For example:

Can I write in Tolkien’s invented languages or use Tolkien’s invented scripts?
Tolkien’s invented languages and scripts are protected by copyright. You may use them for your own private interest and amusement, but you may not reproduce them in any form of publication or in connection with any group activity, commercial or otherwise.

That entire FaQ section is a copyright lovers dream page.

I like the knew look. It has a much more professional feel to it.

I note that this version does not have a download section stating 'coming soon', which I am slightly relieved about as I won't need to check it every day for the next 7 years haha.

Some of the photographs are very nice too. And although I've not looked through thoroughly yet there does seem to be a few illustrations that are previously unpublished.

I really like how easy it is to find all the audio and video recordings. Though, for the interviews I wish they had an option to just watch the entire thing (or provide a link to it).

That error comes up if you try and watch the videos on another website and not the Tolkien Estate site, not sure why it is happening to you.
