TCG Letter #1541

Tolkien wrote to Rob Gilson. No further information is known currently but Gilson replies on 22 June that he is cheered to hear from the T.C.B.S. ^{Letter from Rob Gilson to J.R.R. Tolkien • 22 June 1916 (#1542)[1]}

It would appear that his letter of 22 June will be the last that Gilson wrote to Tolkien.^{Chronology, p. 89[2]}
