TCG Letter #2488

Noted in Chronology, p. 305. Tolkien undertakes to write to Mrs. Wyld, widow of H.C. Wyld who died on 26 January.^{Merton Professor of English and Literature[1]} We believe that this detail was found in the minutes from the English Faculty Board meeting for 2 February but we have not seen the letter itself.
