Stanley Unwin replies to Carpenter's Letter #98 (J.R.R. Tolkien to Stanley Unwin, Undated (circa 18 March 1945)). He asks Tolkien to send anything he feels might be suitable to make a volume with Leaf by Niggle. He remarks that they are still to receive Tolkien's typescript of Farmer Giles of Ham. He suggests that he wait until The Lord of the Rings is completed before he sees it, and further remarks that they do not have the paper at present to publish such a large work.
