At page 66 of this thread, Jlong posted about the Trinity Forum edition of Leaf By Niggle. Here's a copy for sale for $9.99.

Nom nom nom. I had an Amazon gift card balance looking for something to do...

Thanks Morgan!

I was about to say, there's nothing there Morgan!

If you have any other smart ideas about highlighting interesting copies of, for example, The Silmarillion that you spot for sale; but which aren't for sale anymore; but were for sale before you mentioned them here; then do see to it that you don't mention them here & that you email me privately first!

Glad it found a good home, Urulöké! Just bought another copy off eBay for the same price. Guess the seller had checked for prices at Amazon.

Khamûl: I will!

It is not the original paper version, but you can purchase a PDF from the Trinity Forum still:

It costs $3.00

And... just had the order cancelled. They gave the reason as "we had a leak in our storage unit and the book was severely water damaged." I am wondering if it is the same book as on eBay, which has harsher cancellation policies, and Morgan and I bought the same copy.

I don't know why sellers can't be more honest. A simple "sorry, it sold via another channel" would seem to be all that is needed, rather than the obvious lies that Abe sellers seem to come out with now and then.

What's worse is when (not in this case that I am aware of) the seller then relists the item at a higher price. I have had that happen to me as a buyer more than once - when it sells immediately after listing and they realize they underpriced the item.

eBay Item #201096438046

This is interesting. Surely its first set - isnt it?

It does appear to be first impressions (for the two books photos show the colophon and title pages for). Could be a good deal for a collector interested in rebound sets!
