Sorry for being a pedant here. I'm not asking if it says POD or implies POD or if you can tell its POD.

Does it state anything at the end about who printed it &/or is there a barcode? This is usual for some POD printers, just curious about its absence here.

Ah I see. Yes there is a barcode on the rear dustjackets and in most cases the inside flap of the rear states HarperCollins Publishers, the printer is stated on the copyright page. No mention of printer anywhere else though.

Interestingly (to me), I just checked my HoMe Index POD volume, and... no bar code. All of my other POD books (from other publishers) have these.

Did I not read somewhere that the PoD volumes which do have barcodes, have oversized barcodes on the DJ? Also, bizarre that the index wouldn't have one... I'm assuming it's still glued like the rest?

Comparing the Index barcode with my 1st edition hardcovers does show that it is much larger. I don't have any PODs of volumes 1-12 (as I have 1st editions), and there is no 1st edition Index, so this isn't a perfect comparison, but hopefully helpful nonetheless.

The Index is a glued binding, yes.

Hmm. Again, I wasn't originally talking about the DJ; interesting as this is.
(As an aside I can see no reason for the DJ to carry a barcode for something printed POD).

Other POD manufacturers (like Lightning Source who do a lot of printing for BD, SpeedyHen etc) print a wee bit at the very back of the book; often this includes a barcode, sometimes a QR code. This has nothing to do with the copyright page or the DJ and is printed independent from the text. It's clearly not publisher derived. Some even included a date of printing.

Is this absolutely not present in the HoME PODs? I have the HoMe Index but I think, as an early outlier, it may not be representative of the POD series generally.

As an example, here is the information printed at the back of my PoD copy of Keys of Middle-earth.

If you look closely, you will see my copy was printed on Nov 23, 2019 (code ends with 231119).

^ Exactly what I'm talking about.

Does the HoME POD series have this or not?

Thank you Urulókë for the example. There are no details like that anywhere on these volumes and they do have barcodes and ISBNs on the rear DJs.
