Wondering if I missed something: is a new ordinary (English language) edition of Fonstad's Atlas on the way? (Amazon is a bit muddled on what a "new" edition might be - as well as whether JRRT's last name belongs in the title).
I haven't heard or seen anything about a new Atlas coming.

Thanks.
Is there any difference between the editions of Fonstad with and without "Tolkien's" in the title?
Are there any collections of Tolkien-drawn maps (perhaps there aren't enough of those to collect)?

There are two editions of Fonstad's atlas, the First that was produced in the 1980's and an updated corrected edition produced in the 90's from what I remember.

I would suggest the Maker of Middle-earth volume and or Artist and Illustrator for a good solid collection of Tolkien's maps.

Thanks Zionius.
It has been listed on Amazon.com for the last month but showing "Out of Stock" and despatch within 4-6 weeks.
Hopefully they will actually get it into stock though at some stage.
Amazon doesn't directly stock Chinese editions of any of the Tolkien works as far as I've seen. They serve as a storefront for the publishers in China so even if you order from Amazon, the books are going to be sent out of China. (Many of my friends here are in the UK, so Amazon.uk might be different, my comments are exclusively about Amazon.com in the US.) I might also note that you can still "preorder" this even as it's showing "out of stock". (That's what I've done.) Amazon's pretty good about cancelling a preorder and refunding money if you don't want to keep waiting for something.
