For the first time The History of Middle-earth it's being translated to portuguese and will start to be released in November of 2022 in Brazil. The volumes are coming in four box sets, the first box contains volumes 1 and 2, the second will come with volume 3 to 5, the third with volumes 6 to 9 and the last with volumes 10 to 12. Each book will have a dedicated index at the end. The books have hardcover with illustrations of John Howe on it.

In recent years Random House & HarperCollins expand to many other countries and local publishers focused on translated works often have to join them. This is awesome to see! HoMe is the real deal. Hope you Brazilians get Sauron Defeated — an truly gem that often gets neglected thanks to standalone publications of The End of the Third Age.
I love those John Howe pieces and wish we could have standalone hardcovers (in English) with those on the DJ.
Though I have always felt the covers for the first two volumes need to be swapped!

Outsider looking in, I feel like HC Brasil team has been doing a fantastic job with their Tolkien releases so I would be shocked if they didn't get the full HoME experience with Sauron Defeated and had to settle for just The End of the Third Age.
As for your second comment, IMO there is a fairly large market out there for some new HoME hardcovers (in English) and considering we are close to 40th Anniversary here's hoping. Not everyone likes to search second hand for the US or UK HoME hardcovers and/or wants to use the POD system.
Perhaps some our TCG members with connections to the HC folks could drop that bug in their ear. Hardcovers done in the current "new" style the Illustrated hardcovers are coming out (something like this) would IMO be snatched up well by collectors and potential new fans that TRoP drag into the fandom.

I would love a new hardcover edition from HarperCollins that matches the new matte dust jackets using John's artwork.
