Wonderful news for Tolkien collectors, Marquette is auctioning off some of the materials from their exhibition last year in order to raise funds for the archives. Mae govannen! The collectibles in this auction come from Marquette University's celebrated exhibition, J.R.R. Tolkien: The Art of the Manuscript, held at the Haggerty Museum of Art, August 19 - December 23, 2022. Proceeds benefit the Tolkien Archive Fund and will be used to preserve the precious Tolkien manuscript collection for generations to come.
The auction opens on September 22, 2023 and closes at 11:59 p.m. on September 29, 2023.
