There’s something I wish someone could help clarify.
Do these two covers of the Fall of Arthur belong to the same paperback edition (isbn 0007557302) published by HarperCollins in 2015?
And if so, which was the “first printing”, and from which impression was it replaced by the second cover?

The impression numbers have not been added yet.
Yes, it appears that the black cover was the earliest, and it was changed into the cyan cover in 2021. But from a photo source from online it can be seen that a cyan-cover copy lacks the impression number in the copyright page, and only states “2015”.
So I guess the real question is: was the impression numbering reset in 2021 with the cyan cover? (Is the 10th in the signature cover counted from the 2015 or from the 2021?)
So if you guys have a cyan-cover (not grey) paperback that says, for example, the 2nd impression, then I think it can pretty much confirm that it was indeed reset in 2021. So can I ask for a favor of checking the impression number of the cyan copy, if anyone has one in hand?

Thanks for the photos. This is getting more strange, the first one in your photos should be the first ‘hardcover’ edition (isbn and cover color are the same as the hardcover), but is printed in paperback?
Though, what I’m asking is the cyan cover paperback, which should be a subsequent reprint of the black cover paperback
Sorry, think I must have a wrong photo filed. I will get correct copyright page and update original post later (unless there was a mistake made on the copyright page of this edition - I will check later).ahsnait wrote:

ISBN of 2013 Edition ends in 9961 (See rear cover photo)

So a new paperback edition surfaces… previously unknown at least to me and Digital Tolkien. I assume this 2013 paperback was discontinued when the 2015 paperback was released?
Then my request for the cyan 2021 reprint continues…

Turns out I had the correct photo on file.
Harpercollins seems to have made a basic error and used the copyright page of the Hardback Edition for the 2013 Paperback Edition.
As regards the 2021 book you are referring to - never seen it - can only assume it is a reprint of the 2015 Edition.

Wow, thanks. Then I wonder if this '2013 paperback' was actually published in 2014, as its rear cover says "cover design 2014", and Amazon also lists this edition as published in 2014. www.amazon.com/Fall-Arthur-J-R-Tolkien/dp/000748996X

Yes - I see I placed my order on 25th Feb 2014 and the official release date was 27th Feb 2014
