2026 Tolkien Society Award Finalists in All Categories
The Tolkien Society is pleased to announce the shortlists for The Tolkien Society Awards 2026. Voting is open exclusively to members of the Society through the Members’ Area.
Shortlist
This year marks the second time we have used our new system for shortlisting the Awards which is intended to be more rigorous and transparent. There is a separate panel for each award, consisting of a selection of Society Trustees, prior winners, and category experts, based on availability, interest, and lack of conflict (e.g. excluding those who are nominated). The nominations made by the public for each award are checked for eligibility prior to being considered for shortlisting. Additionally, winners from the prior 3 years of an award are not eligible – i.e. for this year, the 2023, 2024 and 2025 winners were not eligible to be shortlisted for a 2026 award in a category that they previously won. Each list of panelists and nominees is given in alphabetical order.
