Hello! I'd like to introduce myself and my collection!
I mainly collect The Hobbit, and enjoy finding ex-libris copies where possible. I started collecting last year, and have so far acquired 138 copies of The Hobbit, along with multiple editions of LOTR and various other Tolkien works.
I'm always interested in discussing collections, and in finding a good deal.

No offence, but people with that many Hobbits are just nuts Welcome aboard.
Edit: If you had to pick a single copy, which is your favourite?
For reading, I think the paperback Jemima Catlin is my favorite. Easy to turn the hold and wonderful illustrations.
I love the 2004 deluxe edition I recently got, might be my new favorite over the 1st edition facsimile and colorful India-only paperback
Good choices. I think I'd go for the 1976 A&U deluxe. Hasn't been bested as yet, IMHO (I think the A&U is better than the Unwin Hyman reprint, though I like the little man in a circle).
And this is arguably my favorite shelf, all my ex-lib and library binding copies! Really happy with the ex-lib 1st edition Fellowship, as well as the red library binding 2nd edition of The Hobbit that I purchased from a fellow member here a while back
I've made a few more acquisitions in the past months, just wanted to share a few of my favorites
- LOTR Millennium edition, the seller included a lovely note about how they originally purchased it new only a few miles from where I now live - A very nice ex-libris rebind of a 24th impression of The Hobbit - 1982 English printing from Russia - I finally managed to track down a copy of the deluxe Jemima Catlin illustrated version for a reasonable price, it looks great next to my matching Chinese copy - Hardcover large print copy of The Hobbit. This has been one of my white whales, very happy to have found one - The Hobbit deluxe edition - 1976 English printing from Taiwan - A couple 2nd editions that I was lucky to find for cheap - Lastly, my 1951 5th impression. I wanted to be able to display the book itself, instead of using a clamshell, so I went a bit of a different route. I have it set in some foam in a sealed shadowbox with an anti-moisture packet to hopefully prevent any moisture buildup.
