This one seems to bee the auction mentioned in the article. $100000 without any signature is mad!

It's the condition of the dust-jacket. Finding one that is essentially new after 75 years (especially on that paper stock) is essentially a one in 100,000 chance. At least according to that bidder, and the person who had the bid just under that.
