I've updated the site theme to support Dark Mode, for those interested.
Light Mode - the site theme you are used to, white/light colored backgrounds with black/dark text and elements.
Dark Mode - Black/dark backgrounds with white/light text and elements. Easier on the eye when in a dark environment, overnight, etc.
For most of you, the site should use whatever Light/Dark mode you are using for your browser or device settings. When you change those settings, the site will follow your preference.
During testing today, I had the default forced to Light Mode unless overridden. Anyone who visited during that brief window will have Light Mode saved as your preference.
To change your preferred mode, go to "My Account" (click that link, or you can always find it in the dropdown menu when you are logged in). There you will find the three modes you can select: Always Light, Always Dark, or "Auto", which will have the TolkienGuide site follow your browser or device setting.
Please let me know if you have any issues or questions. I do know there are still some style colors that are not optimized for Dark Mode, and I am hunting those down. With twenty years of cruft built up in the site design, there are a lot of little settings buried in non-obvious places.
