The Lord of the Rings, 3 vol., first editions , first impressions , vol.III third state with sagging text and printed ‘4’ on p.49, maps, ink name dated 1954 on front free endpaper of first 2 vol., related loose newspaper clipping, 1955, original cloth, dye from cloth bled onto lower extreme edge of vol.I & II ff., dust-jackets, vol.I with split at head of spine and some loss to spine ends and corners, vol.II with small chip at head of spine, vol.III with some tears and chips with slight loss and ink staining to foot of lower panel, general surface rubbing & marking, 8vo, 1954-55.
