Just saw a copy of the 1977 periodical Ariel, The Book of Fantasy, volume two for sale. The cover includes the name ”J.R.R. Tolkien” — anyone knows what text is published in the volume?

If you look at the cover Tolkien is mentioned, but he is not mentioned on the contents page, but there is an article called Frodo as Christ by Mrya Edward Barnes, a tenuous connection.

It's an art magazine with some fiction and non-fiction wrapped around. I think you are right, the Frodo as Christ article is probably the primary text, but I would guess that Frank Frazetta mentions Tolkien and/or some of his Tolkien art is featured in the issue.
