It’s a gorgeous book, but indeed the fact that it’s going for over a grand is pretty wild

As Trotter often says, on eBay you can charge whatever you want. A couple great examples lately of ~ It's worth whatever someone will pay for it.

Someone must have really wanted to complete a set, or were bidding with a parachute-account on their own listing to drive the market up. That's all my guesses!

True, but I still believe patience is key to doing well in this shared-love/passion/hobby of ours. Seems like impulse and desire is prevailing recently across the board…

Here's an interesting one, a '61 GA&U Hobbit bound with a HMCO title page. Sheets must have gotten mixed up or mixed together before being sent overseas to the U.S.
