Hi all,
our friends over at the Prancing Pony Podcast are hosting an in-person/online gathering in December that will be a lot of fun for those that can make it! They are having a livestream marathon today as well, would love to see some of you there having fun.
This year’s theme is “Creating Historical Depth within Fantastical Worlds.”
Here’s the website with all the info + registration: (note that early registration discount ends today, October 4th!)

An update from the PPP posted to their
Facebook page.
I have some great news to share with the PPP family today: thanks to the generosity of so many listeners, the hard work of our team, a perfect sponsor for the moot, and the many of you who registered for PPP Moot 2025 during the Unexpected Livestream on Saturday, I'm thrilled to announce that the in-person portion of our moot will go ahead as planned!
If you've been waiting to make sure this event would happen before booking your registration, travel, and lodging, please go ahead and do that now! And if you have registered to attend in-person, but haven't booked your room yet, go do that now: the link is available from our event page - https://theprancingponypodcast.com/moot/.
Right now, we have close to 50 people planning on being there in-person in Dallas from Dec 18-21, but we'd love to have you join us, too! Come spend time with your fellow Tolkien fans, and meet the PPP team, including The Man of the West, as well as our keynote speakers: Bret Devereaux, Christopher Gilson, and The Lord of the Mark himself, Shawn Marchese!
If you can't be with us in-person, the online event will provide you with as much of the full PPP Moot experience as possible, and we encourage you to register for that soon if you'll be joining us online.
This past Saturday's livestream - aka the Manic Moot Marathon - was a LOT of fun, and I specifically want to thank all of you who attended the livestream. Many of you registered for the event, or chose to support the Moot financially. Thank you!
And a note for those who would still like to consider supporting the moot: 100% of any remaining funds from your contributions will go towards lowering the costs of our next moot, so please consider it if you'd like to go to a moot sometime.
