That is the 2nd edition from 2002.
In terms of Alan's illustrations most are drawn from his earlier Tolkien work in LoTR and The Hobbit. In Poems, many are Cropped or resized, recontextualized to match a specific poem ,or Printed in black-and-white/muted color rather than full plates.
The pencil drawings can be found in Alan's Hobbit and LoTR sketchbooks.
Yes, as Stu says there are two editions. The 1994 Blue edition with most of the poetry contained in LoTR and the 2002 revised and expanded volume which includes all the LoTR poetry. First edition has no DJ while the second edition does.
The ‘94 only had one print, while the ‘02 had at least two reprints.
They both have the same ISBN, so make sure to verify which edition you are getting (and which you want) especially if sellers are using stock images. A bit of patience and dealer queries and you shouldn't have to spend too much to get one.
