Really, no one is safe? The "no one is safe" phrasing, I feel like I’ve heard that before when the advertising for the Game of Thrones series was coming out. I’m pretty sure many of the characters are safe. Unless the show runners haven’t gotten that far in their own Tolkien readings.

More than likely hype aimed at viewers rather than readers who aren’t familiar with whats going to happen ?

I see Simon Pegg is going to be providing the voice to "the Balrog". Presumably they've decided to dispense with Tolkien's timeline, having the Moria Balrog appear two thousand years early?

I don't think that will be one of Simon Pegg's bigger TV roles, don't think Balrogs are very talkative.
